Monte Rosen
My name is Monte Rosen. I am an educator, radiographer, and an Art Center Facility Manager.
The stars will explode in the sky O but they don't, do they? Stars have their moment and then they die There's a man who spoke wonders though I've never met him He said, "He who seeks finds and who knocks will be let in" I think of you in motion and just how close you are getting And how every little thing anticipates you All down my veins my heart-strings call Are you the one that I've been waiting for? ~Nick CaveĀ Monte Rosen currently resides in Victor, ID. He is a published poet, appearing in the Dakota Home Journal, Boulder Men's Journal, Stirling Mag, and the Birdcage Review. He published college textbooks for Harcourt Brace, wrote book reviews for a national magazine called the Fessenden Review, studied martial arts earning a black belt in Aikido, before receiving a B.A. in Philosophy and Literature in 1990 from UCSD. After teaching English and Social Studies for ten years to secondary students, Mr. Rosen escaped the confines of the classroom in order to develop wilderness skills. He now writes novels, poetry, and short fiction when he's not mountaineering, skiing, backpacking, fishing, rafting , and enjoying the shade.
